I am so excited to announce that I will be running for the at-large seat in the May elections. I have greatly enjoyed my time in this role and hope to continue to serve my community in this capacity.
I came onto the board a little unconventionally, having been appointed to fill the vacancy left when Linda Schorsch Jones became a judge. I was appointed in December 2014 and sworn in January 2015. In my short time on the board I have also served on the Special Education Advisory Committee and the Steering Committee for the Shenandoah Valley Governor’s School (SVGS). This past fall I was selected as chair of the Steering Committee for SVGS. I am currently in the process of securing a student representative position on the school board. Student feedback is vital to what we do and I look forward to hearing from our bright students.
Having two young sons, I am invested in our educational system and seek to continue to serve the Waynesboro schools in this capacity. My background in higher education administration uniquely situates me to understand the workings of educational theory and policy. I have been fortunate to use my experience and education to better serve my community.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns, I hope to hear your feedback!
